Well, actually.…. Dr Death was named for my good buddy Mitch, who is an infectious disease doctor. At one time he had more Mayo folders than anyone on the planet.
The majority of his patients are referred to him after the regular doctors give up or cant figure out what the problem is.…….
A very large percentage of his patients come to him in the terminal stages, and often there is nothing he can do.………
Hence the name.….Dr Death.
The profile fits the name very well.
The first folders I made were out of Talonite N Titantium.…………...The very first one was for Copfish. He emailed me with a request for a Talonite blade in his Sebenza, but I told him I had an idea for a new folder and it went from there.
It is named Covert Ops for a very significant reason.
It is not a knife for scaling mountains or living alone in the forest for months. It was intended to be a hide away knife with complete corrosion resistance that could go anywhere and be hidden if necessary. The large model came into existance after a well known member of our group here wanted a bigger knife to TAKE ON THE PLANE WITH HIM while guarding a very rich man. One of the original coverts has been to africa and back three times and to asia at least once.…..On a plane, after 9/11.
It is not the perfect carry knife.…...it is a tool for long term carry with some stealthy attributes.
A number of alphabet soup characters have one of these on their person at all times.
